Bust of an alpine shepherd with cowl to r., on l. below the artists name P. BVRKHARD. At 5 o’clock “ESSAI”. Rev. Shield of arms with broad Swiss cross between gentian- and alpine rose branches. Value above, date below. Smooth edge. 15.18 g. Divo 52. Very rare. Splendid quality. Brilliant uncirculated. The 5 francs pieces of 1928 in pure nickel with smooth edge exist in probably only 5 to 10 specimens.
