This is from the same obverse die as the platinum pieces made for Metcalfe in the 1950s. This one weighs 3.18 gram\s compared to the platinum pieces at 3.2 grams and as compared to the real coin minted in 1858 of 4.33 grams. Question is was it made in 1950s as it is certainly from the same obverse die. There are the die cracks are from the front of the hairline through the zucchetto, another like a cud on the outside of the zucchetto opposite the A, from the rim to the X in the regnal date XIII with a strong match on the base of the X, the die abrasion in front of the A in AN, and the line under the bust is broken whereas on the real coin it is not.
