Parthian Empire were started by Andragoras, the governor of the Seleucid province of Parthia, proclaimed his independence from the Seleucid monarchs. Andragoras was killed soon and Arsaces I became the ruler and founded Arsacid Dynasty which run Parthian Empire about 500 years. The Sasanian Empire succeeded the Parthian Empire in 224AD.
Parthians culture was a mix of ancient Greek and Iranian cultures with Greek domination at the beginning and Iranian domination later.
Parthians used Greek alphabet on their coin. Vologases I was the first ruler to have the Parthian script and language appear on his minted coins alongside the now almost illegible Greek.
However, the use of Greek-alphabet legends on Parthian coins remained until the collapse of the empire.
